The store did not tag my suitcase as I expected based on the Vertoe instructions. Nor did they provide any receipt or ticket for me to use to retrieve my luggage. It was all based on a photo that I took on my smartphone. In the end I retrieve my luggage without an issue, but it seems some sort of claim ticket should be provided.

PERFECT!!! The gift shop has an extended shedule, 9:00am to 9:00pm minimum and it is just across the street to Port Authority bus station. Shop boys are friendly and servicial. The security with the luggage is also correct. They put the suitcase in an special space at the back of the shop. We recommend it 100%!!!

Not safe, won't use again. We left our two bags at a souvenir shop in downtown NYC. The shop employees were super nice but Vertoe's idea of security combined with the laziness of the shop employees confirms that I will never use this service again unless I am using a safer suitcase. The employees sealed the zippers, but as most people know you can easily break into a zipper by pressing into the teeth with an object like a ballpoint pen. I would have felt safer had the Vertoe seal gone around a re-useable plastic bag, thus guaranteeing access to the zipper. Oh, the shop also left our two suitcases at the back of the shop, under some "BiG APPLE" sweatshirts they were selling.

I know that this service seems too good to be true, but I seriously picked the closest hub to store my bag by Port Authority (a gift shop literally across the street from Port Authority), paid $5.95 online, showed up, was given a tag to secure and identity my bag, and then was able to walk around NYC allllllll day without being weighted down or looking like a mess with my bag!! This is my second time using this service, and it hit me in the same efficient, cost effective, and kind service.

Our luggage of 4 cases was presented to the premises on 8th Ave, New York across from the Port Authority. Vertoe blue tags were put on baggage and we took photos of tag numbers. Although our baggage was not stored in a secure room, but at the rear of the shop, there appeared to always be staff around the area where the luggage was placed.

They provided the service, but I'm still uncomfortable with the experience. Our luggage was not stored in a storage point, it was simply piled in a corner of a souvenir shop. We didn't have a choice, so we accepted and prayed to see our things again when we came back. Nothing was stolen, but I would not do it again.

This was the perfect place to leave our bags so we could walk around uninhibited, and be close to the our bus after picking them up. The bags aren't in a specifically secure location, like behind the counter, but there were two owners in the store so one was always near the Vertoe bags at the very back. She also recognized us when we returned, so she would likely notice if someone tried to take our stuff. We had to take a picture of an individually numbered tag for each bag when leaving our things, and show that same photo when we came back to verify we were grabbing the correct items. I would definitely do this again!

The service was excellent. The guys running the gift shop were efficient and personable. The day before I used a luggage service that charged me $10/bag and would not honor its website claiming they would meet any price of a bag service. I was a little skeptical of your service, but will use it again in the future. The only complaint that I have is that I wish both of my bags were put in the back of the shop. I believe the guys running the shop kept a close eye on what was leaving the shop, but one never knows what might happen. Other than this, it was a great experience.
