The shop owner looked after our bag fine but he was very pressuring about making sure we tip - mentioning it over and over again, borderline aggressive. This made us both very uncomfortable, particularly as he did nothing which was deserving of a tip.

There was no lock and it seemed unsafe. He just put a small string around the bag and put it in a small closet and told us to leave. We told him we don't feel it's safe enough. He was rude and started shouting that he has a lot of insurance and told us to leave. Ultimately we decided to leave the place and not store our bags there because it was unsafe and the guy was just insanely rude and shouting.

It´s super nice having a place where I can storage my baggage. The only thing that I did not like, is that the host asked for a tip. I think that if they´re providing that service and if they whiling to work with vertoe, and If they have theire comission, they do not have to ask for tips, because what we are looking about this service, is not to spend money for a place to stay, we are looking for save money and host does not have to ask for extra tips.

The idea of the service is great! Setting up a reservation is easy. The issue we had was with the actual place that held our stuff. The man told us that we needed to tip him (we were planning on it but he told us we needed to from the moment we met him). He then tried to aggressively sell us knock off designer bags. After this he “locked up” all of our stuff in a shady looking unlocked closet.

We had a little confusion about the site at 799 8th Ave in Manhattan because while we had information that the storage was in a luggage and gift store there were two of them side by side. But we got the correct one sorted quickly enough, and otherwise the process was quick and easy It worked very well for us, and we would use it again.

It was great to be able to leave my bag and not have to carry it around all day. However, the vendor that watched after it did not give me a ticket or tag for pickup even though I asked for one,and told me to take a picture of it. When I went to pick up I had an issue because it was a different guy, who wanted the tag.

I was unable to check my bag because a photo of the ID tag was required, and I don't have a smartphone. The store owner refused to give me a refund, and was thoughtless. If more than $6 were at stake I would have filed a complaint the NY consumer protection. As I told several NY friends I thought that sort of "Who cares about you?" attitude went out with the 1970s.

First time I used a storage company and found vertoe on the net as my hotel would not store my luggage for more than one day. After reading the reviews I decided to use them. The process was easy and price to store in New York was excellent. The people at the location were easy to talk to and tagged my bags as stated so pick up was easy. Will use again if needed.

A very argumentative man at the location where I dropped the bags off was not satisfied with the confirmation text I received from your company. Even the name Vertoe was on it. He wanted to see the email as well. He called me rude and asked where I come from! I worried the entire time I was at the theater that everything would be missing from my bag. Nothing was missing.

I was able to drop off my bags and pick them up in the middle of Manhattan and am very grateful for that. However, I felt a bit uneasy leaving all my belongings behind at a souvenir shop after being snapped at by one of the owners. At least the other person told me that anyone with a photo of the tags would be able to retrieve the bags.

The staff were a little weird/abrupt during drop-off, but overall there were no real issues and we were able to get in and out quickly and on time! We appreciated that the bags were stored in a separate room not visible to the whole store, and Vertoe tags were used for the bags.

It was great to have this option however the particular store we stored our luggage at did not have the little blue tags to attach to our luggage. The email I received showed little blue tags that essentially served as identification and a lock but that is not what was used. The gentleman at this store simply wrote a number on scratch paper and stapled it to our luggage. We did not like this method at all and did not feel our luggage was particularly safe.

Vertoe is an online service that allows you to book online with their Vertoe partners to drop off your luggage. This includes massage chairs! As a massage therapist, dragging around my chair to and from events almost daily can be exhausting. Lucky for me, I have the option to drop off my massage chair at various locations in New York. I no longer have to lug my chair back to New Jersey just to have lug it back to another event in New York, especially when the event is being held at a nearby location. It is also very affordable, actually very cheap, as I usually pay $11.90 for an overnight stay. I have dropped my chair off at about six Vertoe locations and my experience has been very positive at each location. I have recommend some of my massage therapist buddies to drop off their chairs at any of these fine locations as it is a godsend for me!

This was my first time using Vertoe, and I was pleasantly surprised! I had to check out at 11am, but my flight wasn't until 8pm. This offered me a great place to leave my luggage so I could still make the most of my last day! The owners were very nice and when I returned everything was as I had left it! Definitely recommend if you want to travel unincumbered!

Excellent! I was skeptical about leaving my luggage at first but everything turned out fine. The owner was very friendly and kept my luggage safe. It was a convenient location close to Times Square. It made things so much easier because I had a check out at noon and my flight wasn't until 7pm. So it gave me more time to explore the city hands free.

Our Airbnb host recommended Vertoe to us as our flight out of JFK wasn't until 9:50pm and we had to check out at noon. I would've been nervous to use if it hadn't of been recommended by someone we knew but everything turned out great.
