Rooms range from dorm-style with shared bathrooms to more luxurious suites, so you’ll find everyone from who’s in town for a meeting to in town for they-don’t-know-how-long lounging in the colorful common spaces. You’ll probably expect this hotel to be full of business travelers, and while that’s true, what you might not expect is its beautiful location just steps from Boston’s waterfront, bars and restaurants, and historic sites.

We couldn’t finish this list without mentioning some of our favorite Airbnb options but there were too many to choose from to list just a couple! What we will say, though, is that a quick search for inexpensive rooms in Boston churned out 4 pages of options less than $100/night. Of course, these options were greatly varied but we’re pretty confident that there’s something for everyone on the list, so if you want to feel like you’re at your home away from home this would be a search worth your time.
